ELTON JOHN RESEARCH, ARCHIVE & HISTORICAL PRESERVATION

ELTON JOHN RESEARCH, ARCHIVE & HISTORICAL PRESERVATION

For many years, I have developed independent research and archival work dedicated to documenting and preserving the history and artistic legacy of Elton John.

My work involves the research, collection, verification, organization and preservation of historical material related to Elton John’s career, including rare recordings, photographs, videos, interviews, documents, publications, television appearances, concerts and other archival sources.

Particular attention is given to material that is rare, difficult to locate, poorly documented or absent from commonly available historical records. Whenever possible, information is compared across multiple sources in order to establish dates, contexts, recording details, performances and other relevant historical information.

The archive also includes research into unreleased, alternate, demo, outtake and otherwise obscure recordings, as well as documentation concerning Elton John’s early career and professional development.

Another important part of this work is the documentation of the Elton John collecting and research community. I have conducted and preserved interviews with collectors, researchers and individuals who have contributed knowledge and material to the study of Elton John’s career.

The objective is to preserve information that might otherwise become inaccessible or disappear over time, while providing an organized historical record for fans, collectors, researchers and future generations.

This is an independent archival and research project, focused on documentation, historical accuracy and preservation.

Rather than concentrating exclusively on the most widely known moments of Elton John’s career, my work seeks to document the broader historical picture — including lesser-known performances, recordings, appearances, photographs, documents and stories that contribute to a more complete understanding of his artistic career.

The archive continues to expand through ongoing research, documentation and the identification of previously overlooked or insufficiently documented material.
